Architecture that connects living, landscape, and nature, translating Uberlândia’s territorial identity through expansive balconies, local materiality, and the integration of technique and sensibility.

At Varanda, architecture is shaped by a dual relationship with Uberlândia: the immediate scale of everyday life, where living opens onto Parque Una, and the broader scale of the landscape, in which the building becomes part of the city’s horizon. Materiality emerges from this context, grounded in the presence of the local soil. Its tones draw from the region’s latosolo, exploring subtle variations to express, through color and texture, a precise territorial identity. The green of the planters and integrated areas extends this dialogue, establishing continuity between architecture and nature.

Organized into six typologies, the 192 units take the balcony as the project’s structuring element. Generous and continuous, these spaces operate as direct extensions of the park, bringing light, air, and vegetation into everyday living. By softening the boundary between interior and exterior, they expand the domestic experience and recalibrate daily life.

The integration of these balconies comes from a process that brings together intuition and precision. On one hand, a sensitive reading of the site, shaped by direct engagement with the park and its dynamics. On the other, the use of parametric and coordination tools, ensuring clarity and efficiency in the design. Form, here, emerges from this balance: a synthesis of perception and logic, where technique underpins architectural expression.
